His father, Dr. Anand Kumar Srivastava, was a reputed doctor and government officer, while his mother, Mrs. Pushpa Srivastava, was a deeply spiritual, knowledgeable, and cultured homemaker. Although the family was religious, there was no particular environment or tradition of astrology in the household. However, when Prashant was around 11 years old, his family was astonished to discover that he had begun making remarkably accurate predictions about people and their lives. He not only spoke about future events but also engaged in serious discussions on profound spiritual subjects. His abilities were so extraordinary that by the age of 15, he had become known among his family and in the community as a genuine child astrologer. A Sign of Divinity in His Birth Chart When Mrs. Pushpa Srivastava found her son's unusual abilities surprising and somewhat extraordinary, she showed his birth chart—prepared by some of the finest astrologers in Kashi at the time—to local astrology scholars. The astrologers were amazed when they examined the chart. According to their interpretation, it indicated that: “This child will be highly religious, knowledgeable, and spiritual. He may become the founder of a new religion or spiritual practice, a prominent astrologer, or the head of a religious institution or spiritual monastery.” When Prashant's mother shared these concerns with his father, he considered them a matter of childhood curiosity and advised the family not to pay too much attention to them. However, by the age of 17, Prashant's reputation had grown to such an extent that people had already begun approaching him for advice. To steer him away from astrology and spirituality, his family sent him to pursue engineering studies. Even there, however, his spiritual awareness and astrological insight continued to manifest. His friends, teachers, and relatives were often amazed by his observations and predictions. His maternal uncle, Engineer Lalit Mohan Srivastava, began seeking his advice about personal and family matters from an early age. Affectionately modifying his childhood nickname “Bunty,” he began calling him “Bunty Guru.” The Prediction That Shook the Family During his childhood, Prashant made a prediction about the death of a beloved neighbor whom the family affectionately regarded as an uncle. The prediction came true with remarkable accuracy. The incident deeply shocked not only his family but also people across the city. Prashant himself was profoundly affected by the experience. For some time afterward, he distanced himself from astrology. His Mother’s Message and the Awakening Within A few years later, his mother spoke to him and said: “It is possible that you have been a spiritual seeker and astrologer in your previous lives. Perhaps, for one reason or another, you left this spiritual practice incomplete in each lifetime. That may be why the same work has been entrusted to you again in this life. If you do not complete it now, nature may bring you back again for the same purpose. You will have to do it eventually—whether in this life or in another.” These words brought about a profound transformation in Prashant's heart and mind. He made a firm decision that, regardless of circumstances, he would never again abandon spirituality, astrology, or spiritual practice. Why He Was Called the “Paras Stone” Prashant reflected deeply on his mother's words and resolved that, no matter what happened, he would not give up spirituality, astrology, or his spiritual path. There was another reason behind his earlier decision to step away from astrology. According to his mother and people who had known him since childhood, anyone who approached Prashant with genuine affection and whom he accepted into his life experienced a remarkable transformation. Because of this, his mother, siblings, family members, and friends affectionately began calling him a “Paras Stone”—a metaphorical reference to the legendary philosopher's stone believed to transform ordinary metal into gold. His family, particularly his siblings and friends, have continued to tease him about this even today, jokingly saying, “In the end, you are just a stone…” The tradition continues, but Prashant now takes these comments with a smile and laughs them off. His purpose, however, has remained clear: whatever the circumstances, he would not abandon spirituality. And he has remained committed to that decision. The Emergence of ‘Astro Meditation’ After years of study, meditation, spiritual practice, and personal experience, Prashant developed a unique spiritual practice known as: 🧘 “Astro Meditation” Astro Meditation is presented as a practice designed to bring an individual's planetary influences, karma, and consciousness into greater balance.
